Azar: Video Chat, Meet Friends is an app designed for connecting with people globally through video chat. It allows users to browse profiles in a dedicated Lounge and initiate communication by following or messaging individuals who interest them. A distinctive capability of the app is its real-time voice-to-subtitle translation, which aims to facilitate conversations without language barriers by converting spoken words into subtitles during chats.
Connecting with Users
The app offers multiple ways to connect. Users can explore profiles within the Lounge and choose to follow or message anyone whose profile catches their attention. Additionally, Azar features PICK&MATCH, which enables users to browse online profiles and then start a video chat directly with selected individuals they wish to connect with.
Overcoming Language Barriers
A key feature of Azar is its real-time voice-to-subtitle translation. This tool allows users to communicate across different languages, as it translates spoken content into subtitles during video chats, aiming to ensure that conversations can proceed smoothly regardless of the participants’ native tongues.
Safety and Moderation
Azar incorporates several tools designed to enhance user safety and well-being. The Azar Badge is visible on user profiles, indicating individuals who have spent a significant amount of time chatting without violating community guidelines. For active video chats, Moderation in Match automatically cancels connections that do not adhere to safety guidelines. Furthermore, In-Match Blur temporarily covers the screen if inappropriate content is detected. The app’s platform is supported by a 24/7 moderation service that uses AI software to review activity and help maintain a positive experience.
Customization and Access
While Azar provides access to a variety of features for free, certain advanced customization options are available through a subscription. Specifically, filters that allow users to customize who they meet by gender and region are accessible via a subscription. The app also offers various in-app purchases and other subscription options that provide more control over the user’s interaction experience.
